WHAT TO EXPECT
In this new 4-week class, which builds on our incredibly popular Floral Arranging 101 course, you will learn the art and science of creating beautiful, fresh, effortless-looking wedding flowers. You’ll create a cohesive plan for your wedding flowers that includes styling them to match your wedding look, estimating quantities, keeping the flowers fresh for the big day, how to price and contract with florists and more. You’ll learn techniques for making large scale arrangements, garlands, beautiful garden-inspired modern corsages, boutonnières, hair florals, and a wild, organic bridal bouquet. We’ll also cover design techniques for centerpieces and cake flowers!
Please note that you will need to have certain supplies to fully participate in this course:
— Clippers (these are recommended by Chelsea)
— Camera (of any kind) to photograph your assignments to upload to the student gallery for Chelsea’s feedback
— Florist wire
— A low, wide vase
— A tall bucket or urn
HOW IT WORKS
The Nicole’s Classes application is a downloadable program you install on your computer. (The link to download will be provided the day the class starts.) Learning is divided into 4 weeks and within those weeks you can learn at your own pace, anytime, anywhere. There are no set class times, though homework is due every Sunday night for instructor feedback. Students also have unlimited email access to the instructor for the duration of their course, to ask questions or get help when they’re stuck. Our classes are flexible, fit into most any schedule and we happily welcome international students!
Flower Arranging 101 or equivalent experience is recommended.
